SUBJECT: COMPLAINT REGARDING FAULTY MACHINES

RESPECTED SIR

This letter is in reference to the order no. 1216 placed by our firm on 20^th July 2013. Our firm had placed an order of 20 lathe machines worth Rs.20000 each. The machines reached on 1^st August 2013.

On examining the machines, our chief engineer observed a problem in the working of some machines. The machines are not working in a usual manner. A strange sound was observed in eight machines when they were switched on. This is causing inconvenience to us as we have to complete important orders ASAP.

I request you to kindly replace the defected machines latest by one week. This kind of service is not expected by an esteemed organization. I look forward for a prompt response from you.
