class proceedings

The second social communication class was held on Monday,12th January 2015.

The first 10 minutes of the class were dedicated to the reading of Pt Jawaharlal Nehru's 22nd July 1947 speech. Parveen Sir then explained Nehru's words to the class.

The following topics were then discussed -

1. Small Talk- a small chat among a few people known or unknown to you.

2. Rapport building- it includes the following

       i. Mirroring

       ii. Matching

3. Social and corporate associations - having connections with people through social networking sites such as Facebook etc.

4. Informal communication

       i. Chat- having chats through messaging apps available online

       ii. Grapevine- it includes gossip among individuals on a certain topic.

All the students are asked to create LinkedIn accounts asap.
