MY VACATIONS

I relived this moments once more when I got some days leave. I went off to kerala, revved up my bike and off I went to Munnar. It was a totally unplanned trip. Just me , my friends . Nothing else than raincoats, chargers, a helmet and my Camera. I had just bought it and what better way to use a camera than by clicking Photos of Munnar.
Anyway we started our Journey from Ankamaly whilch is about 150 Kms away from Munnar. From Ankamaly we went to Kothamanglam . From there a bypass to Neriamanglam Munnar route. We were actually going there during the Monsoon season of June. Just a day back Heavy rains had lashed Northern Kerala. There was a high probability of getting heavy rains during our trip. But anyway we gathered our courage and decided to meet it head On. We had decided to avoid the  tourist places and instead focus on undiscovered and remote spots of Munnar where tourists didn’t dare to go. I was already aware of the Munnar Marayoor and Chinnar route , So we decided to go through that route. The speciality of this route is that in this route it is the travel that matters as the whole scenery is awesome throughout the way. So we could enjoy the travel without having to worry about reaching any specific destination in mind.
After quite a bit of riding we reached our first Stop Cheyyappara waterfalls. A magnificient view of the waterfall forced us to stop o and take note of this Natural beauty. We admired the falls , took some nice photos and moved on. As we moved along , we were greated with a even grander waterfall , This was the Thommankuttu waterfall. It was as if Nature was prepping up the excitement before showing us the Beauty of Munnar in its diversity. After going on for a while the visibility got so poor that we had to stop and and wait for the fog to clear. Anyways we made best use of the time by clicking great pictures of the fog covered tree.  We kept our pace as our Aim was to reach Top  Station that day. But along the way we got great scenery of the Mountains and tea Plantations. They view was simply awesome and it energized us to keep on moving even though the continuous ride had started taking a toll on our Bodies. Finally we reached Top Station, and after a tiresome climb down a set of crude stairs we reached down at the point where we could delve in the Majestic view of the  Mountain Range of Munnar. We drove back a little and then made our way towards the Anayirankal Dam. Literally translated 'anayirankal' means 'coming of the elephants'. The water reservoir has been an attraction for wild elephants for many years now. We walked the dam wall and spent time soaking in the beauty around. We were at the hotel at about 6. That evening, we walked to nearby Mahavir Restaurant that offered home style wholesome vegetarian food - a refreshing change from our daily fare.

The munnar experience was really a memorable one.But the whole vacation was  really a bad experience as i suffered  from jaundice .
